For someone like me it has to be dumbed down enough for me to understand and I had no problem following her how to’s. Other how to books lose me, they offer so much information that after a while it all seems Chinese to me. This book was point on and she tells it to you straight, you have to put yourself out there if you want to get something out of it.

The book includes her testimony as well as that of several others who have been successfully doing this for years. This book is the real deal.

Yvonne deSousa has worked as a street sweeper, a shell seller, a babysitter, a candy peddler, and a guest house manager, all before the age of sixteen. Later on she worked as a waitress, sales clerk, library assistant, victim’s advocate, and at the front desk of a doctor’s
office.

Two years before Yvonne’s diagnosis of multiple sclerosis, a relative volunteered her to write an article for a local newspaper. Little did she know it was the beginning of a writing career. When MS threatened to turn her into a lunatic, she started writing more frequently and quickly discovered that writing about the insanity that is MS was helping to keep her sane.

Her work has appeared on CapeWomenOnline.com, and in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Finding My Faith and Something On Our Minds, Volumes 1 and 2. OMG!! I loved, loved this book. I read it in 1 day. I just could not put it down! The best part was reading both main characters point of view. Instantly, I fell inlove with Blake, the playboy, badass MMA fighter. Then comes Layla, tough on the outside, broken on the inside, young mother of a teenage girl. Both, Blake and Layla have their own decades old demons but somehow come together to be exactly what the other one needs. But, can they make it last? I laughed out loud, and cried a river while reading this book. There is so much raw emotion in their stories.
This book is a part of a series called The Fighting Series. Each book in the series is about different characters in the UFL. This is book 2 and while you dont have to read the first one to get this one, you just may want to.

My Thoughts:
I really enjoyed this book. This is the second book I've read by Jessica Gibson and I fully intend to read many more.
Let's begin with how cute the characters names are; Ezzie, Beau, Wini. Eeeep! I love it! And the details are incredible! You can practically feel the environment of every scene in the book. Then there's the plot. I thought this book was going to be about ghosts, but there is so much more supernatural in this book. Witches, wizards, banshees, merpeople! Its got it all!! READ IT! You wont regret it.
